realme Will Create 15 "1 Million Shipment" Markets Within the Next Three Years While Entering the Second Stage of Entrepreneurship

     

Sky Li, realme’s Global CEO and Founder detailed realme’s future plans in an open letter released ahead of the 828 realme Fan Fest




 

realme is fast approaching the four year anniversary of its debut as an independent brand in the smartphone market. The upcoming occasion of the realme 828 Fan Fest provides a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the long, arduous path the tech democratizer has taken to reach this stage and look forward towards what realme has in the pipeline. realme started off with the mission to empower the next generation of youth by providing them with access to leap-forward technology and trendy design concepts. Over 140 million loyal fans around the globe have been satisfied with the innovation, accessibility, and community that realme brings to the table. The task that realme had entering the market was an intimidating climb, with a highly saturated mobile phone market awaiting them and long-established players occupying the majority of the market.

On the product side, realme is going to adopt the “Simply Better” strategy which will place a premium on product by increasing investment in R&D by 58% year-over-year in order to further advance its abilities of making essential tech innovations more accessible. With this strategy, realme is placing a greater emphasis on its number series of phones, which have famously been realme’s vehicle for tech-democratization in the past and are realme’s most essential product line. Number series phones pack high-tech features into a visually attractive design with an affordable price tag. In addition to an increased focus on improving product quality, realme will also be streamlining their operations by pooling their resources into global unified development to be more in line with the “Simply Better” strategy. Product improvement is seen as the cornerstone of realme’s growth moving forward.

 

The market side will be seeing positive changes as well. Now that its core markets have been defined, realme will place a new emphasis on stability over expansion. This new market focus goes by the name of “Market Cultivation” strategy, which will place particular focus on its two 10-million shipment markets while working towards building a core of fifteen 1-million shipment markets. Currently, realme has seven markets with annual shipments exceeding 1 million units with a spot in the Top 5 in certain markets. realme isn’t afraid of dreaming big and stands strong in its belief that it can climb even further to the very top.

realme Unveils its Production Process to its Community with a Visit to its Assembly Plant in Pakistan

           

realme’s Fan Meet up started with an informative factory visit and ended with thrilling rounds of bowling



 

Behind every successful business there is an army of loyal fans lending their support for its endeavors. For realme, the strong presence of its fans has always been felt in every step of the journey to grow to the heights that the smartphone brand has reached now. realme aims to maintain a certain level of transparency with its community of fans. Having them be aware of how realme operates, what goes into the making of realme devices, as well as realme’s core values is highly important in developing the tech democratizer’s relationship with its fan community.

 

For this reason, realme decided to pull back the curtain on Wednesday, 10th August 2022 during its 828 Fan Fest celebrations and took a group of select fans to their assembly plant on the outskirts of the city of Lahore. This inside look was followed by an exciting hi-tea and bowling session at the bowling alley, Uptown LA. This Fan Meet up presented a wonderful opportunity for realme fans to mingle with each other and get to know the people in the community as well as familiarize themselves with the faces behind their favorite technology brand.

 


Fans gathered at realme Headquarters in Lahore at noon on Wednesday after which they were loaded into buses provided by realme to take them to the assembly plant. While on the bus, realme fans and employees took part in various, engaging ice breaker activities to set the mood for the remainder of the day and dispel any inhibitions that fans may have about socializing freely. Once they arrived at the assembly plant, they were taken inside to get a breakdown about how realme devices are made. The functionality of the plant was explained while the fans were taken through the production process of realme phones from start to finish. Fans even got to witness the testing machinery in action as they marveled at the durability of realme phones during the drop test, scratch test, and more.





 After exploring the factory to their heart’s content, the fan community was loaded into buses again to be taken to the final venue of the realme Fan Meet up – Uptown LA. The venue was decked out in realme décor to welcome the fan community with grandeur. Once at the venue, the community was greeted by the Country Director of realme, Syed Mashood Hassan, who delivered an inspiring welcome speech thanking the fans for their unwavering support during both smooth times and turbulent times and emphasizing the fan-centric approach of realme’s operations. A cake cutting ceremony was held with the participation of realme fans and employees to share the celebration. The floor was then opened for the community to hit the bowling lanes and roll out a new high score. A hi-tea buffet was also provided for fans to indulge in as they enjoyed their games. Each attendee of the realme Fan Meet up also left the event with their own personal goodie bag of giveaways.

 

While this may have been the first realme Fan Meet up of its kind, it certainly won’t be the last. As a brand, realme prioritizes getting to know its consumers so that it can cater to their interests as best as possible. However, it is equally as important that realme’s fans get to know the company on a deeper level to better understand the efforts they are making for them in the market as well as to acquaint them with the human faces behind the brand. realme Earns the Honor of Becoming the Youngest Brand among BrandZ’s Chinese Global Brand Builders TOP 50 Awarded by Google and Kantar

              

In the vast sea of international businesses it is easy to get lost among the crowd but not for realme, the Chinese smartphone and technology brand. Since entering the market in August 2018, realme has surpassed global sales volume of 100 million and become one of the top six smartphone brands in the world in 2021 within just three years, earning the title of being the fastest emerging smartphone brand to achieve this. With the passing of every year, Google and Kantar come forward with their ranking of Chinese global brands to gauge the impact these brands have had on consumers in the global market.





For the first time since its debut in the international market, realme has made its way onto the Kantar BrandZ Chinese Global Brand Builders 2022 TOP 50. Not only was realme the youngest brand to break into the ranking, the tech democratizer was also given the special honor of receiving the award for Best Newcomer for Balanced Growth. Being placed on this list means that realme has finally transitioned from being a rising star in the industry to a brand with great global influence as the preferred choice of young people around the world.

 

As a brand, realme’s philosophy caters towards the global youth population, embodying the core values that they hold dear such as adventure, activism, and cost-effectiveness. In the past four years, realme has spread laterally into the market, introducing high quality products with leap-forward performance and trendsetting design to young users in 61 global markets. The rankings of the BrandZ Chinese Global Brand Builders Top 50 are based on a survey of over 1 million users across 11 countries which is used to compute the brand power score for each brand. A comprehensive analysis of the brand power score is used in order to put the rankings together. The BrandZ Chinese Global Brand Builders Top 50 provides a scale to measure the international influence of Chinese brands and has authority and credibility worldwide. Compared to last year, realme’s brand power has shot up by 20% in the 11 surveyed markets with a 70% growth rate in the seven developed markets that were surveyed. With its debut on the list realme has a brand power score of 294, ranking among the top 13 brands in the consumer electronics category. Developed markets account for 50% of realme’s calculated brand power.

 

In recent years, realme's global market share has continued to grow and its product sales continue to rise. In Q1 of 2022, realme has a global year-on-year growth of 13%, defying the trend in 14 markets. In some European markets, such as Spain, Greece and Czech Republic, realme’s market share has entered the top five, with an overall growth rate of 177%. The South and South-East Asian market has a good performance as well, with realme taking 16% of the share in India and entering the top three this year. South America, Middle Asia and other markets have also made breakthroughs, with realme being among the top 5 brands in terms of market share in Morocco, Peru, and Egypt among other countries.
